Recognition for Butterfly of Hope

l-r Barb Karen Stacey
Captain Barb Myers recently received a certificate of appreciation recognizing the Butterfly of Hope Team for participation in the 2018 Rexall OneWalk to Conquer Cancer. Presenting the certificate were Karen Adams, Associate Vice-President, Business Development of OneWalk for The PMCF, and Stacey Carcao, Manager of Corporate & Community Partnerships, OneWalk to Conquer Cancer.
Your captains are very proud of all of the teams we have had through the years and are very pleased that Butterfly of Hope is always recognized by the PMCC as being one of the top ten teams every year.  In fact, we are usually one of the top three!
At the last impact event, “Future Care Now”, we were presented with a framed certificate as thanks to all team members for their support.

Future Care Now

This was another amazing event at the PMCC and we wished that all team members and donors could have been there.  Fortunately, a short video of some of the highlights has been put together for us to share with all of you.
YOU NEED TO SEE THE VIDEO LINKED BELOW!
Everyone needs to know about this amazing new work, why we must keep contributing and how incredibly fortunate we are to be able to play a small role.  PLEASE WATCH IT AND PASS IT ON when you are recruiting new walkers and/or donors.

Training

We continue to enjoy the changing seasons while adding kilometers to our training walks.  A few weeks ago we had a wonderful walk at Bronte Creek Park with teammate Catherine Ujihara.  The trillium plants, marsh marigolds and many other wildflowers were in full bloom and birds were entertaining us with their spring songs.  What a wonderful way to enjoy a spring afternoon!
