Our Walks are Just Days Away! (Yes, “Walks” is plural)

Unbelievable, but true! We hope that you are as excited as your captains are. 

With just over a week to go before the Walk to Conquer Cancer, Butterfly of Hope is standing fifth in Community Teams Fundraising! The Butterfly of Hope Team is also participating in the Journey to Conquer Cancer on Sunday, Sept. 11 for the first time.

We have always been in the top ten and often in the top three community teams for the Walk to Conquer Cancer and its predecessor events, but every year there is a surge in donations for many teams.  If we all meet our minimums necessary to walk, we will reach our goal of $25,000. Regardless of where we stand, we should be very proud of our contribution to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation (ThePMCF)  —  “supporting the largest integrated cancer research, teaching and treatment centre in Canada. The Princess Margaret is [also] one of the top five cancer research centres in the world (uhnresearch.ca, thepmcf.ca).”  

Big Thank You to Judy, Jennifer and Supporters Butterfly of Hope recently had a steady stream of contributions made directly to the team. This is thanks to Judy and Jennifer. They organized a raffle of a beautiful Safe At Home Blanket to raise funds for the Walk to Conquer Cancer (bit.ly/JudyT). Judy and Jennifer have  been walkers in Montreal and Toronto for many years.  Some of our long time donors have also decided to help individual walkers as well as our team directly. Butterfly of Hope has a wonderful alumni of walkers and amazing friends!
