It’s finally spring, let’s go

What a great time of year to be out walking!  We hope that you are enjoying watching spring return to the gardens in your neighbourhood, on the trails and in the rivers and lakes.  Walking outdoors is one of the few pleasures we have right now.  Let’s take full advantage of that to get refreshed and ready to walk 30k in September! (Or as much as you can!)

Thank you to all Butterflies who have joined us from Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia! We are so happy to welcome you back and we look forward to seeing who you recruit to walk with you or make donations to you.

Our perk this month is the chance to be entered to win an Apple watch.  Everyone who has a $100 donation on your personal page by Apr. 30 will qualify for a chance to win.

Mother’s Day Webinar to cover recent findings in gynecological cancer treatment
The Ontario Institute for Cancer Research reports that a team at Princess Margaret CC, “has shown that adding a targeted drug to chemotherapy results in longer survival and a stronger response to treatment in a difficult-to-treat form of ovarian cancer.”

To explain this and other advances in gynecological oncology, there will be a webinar on Thurs., May 13 at 7 p.m. Information to follow.
