Calling All Butterflies for 30/30/30!

Your co-captains are hoping that you will join us– or rejoin us–to honour our survivors, support those still fighting, and remember those we have lost. Co-captain Barb is one of the very lucky survivors who would love to connect once more with you as she celebrates two personal milestones. This is her 30th year cancer free, and coincidentally, will be her 30th walk for cancer centres from coast to coast. She plans on celebrating these milestones by trekking 30 kms on our walk in September and hopes that you will join us for all or part of it. She would love to have as many Butterfly friends as possible from across Canada join in. A virtual walk is still in the plans.

We are aware that some of you have health issues or injuries that might prevent you from walking long distances this year.  Would walking 30 minutes be an option for you?

We hope to have a course this year that is just as memorable as the one we had last year in Toronto.  We look forward to seeing what route you can come up with if you can’t be in the GTA. We can’t wait to see how many Butterflies we will have in our kaleidoscope!

Please register and continue to make Butterfly of Hope the force it has always been!

If you haven’t perused the new website, please visit. There are many innovative tools to engage your donors, and make fundraising a lot more fun.

It also highlights the new walk video, “Connected by Our Why,” featuring many familiar and beautiful faces from Butterfly of Hope, and even Papa Butterfly Chad’s running shoes. See if you can find yourself in the Weekend Gallery from the past three years!

Use @butterflyohope to connect to Butterfly of Hope’s social media when posting your training photos. Also, why not post your milestones and accomplishments? Please note that there’s only “O” between “Butterfly” and “Hope”.

Happy thoughts to all Survivors. We are grateful to have you on our Team.

 Stay Healthy and Safe
