It always seems impossible until it's done. -Nelson Mandela
| Heading into the disorder of 2021 can make anyone think about retreating from trying. The Butterfly of Hope team and its courageous, creative members have proven time and again that a lot can be accomplished despite all kinds of challenges, including a pandemic. To help us stay positive, The Weekend to Conquer Cancer offers some help. During the month of January, those who raise $100 have a chance to win a Garmin vívosmart® 4 fitness tracker valued at nearly $200. Everyone who has raised $50 will get the official 2021 Weekend shirt with the slogan “Connected by Our Why?” The Weekend is also looking at launching a mobile app to help participants track training and build engagement with donors. ![]() If you haven’t had a chance to register yet, Susie M or David G of The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation will be in touch. If you have registered, please update your personal webpage. It is shown that those who add a personal picture and story have a much better fundraising experience, agreed David at a recent advisory committee meeting for the Weekend. Already, more than 400 have registered, raising over $80,000. |

Helping the Homeless and Hurting in our Communities
| The Butterfly of Hope team offers its support to others in need during the year, including through The Coldest Night of the Year for the most vulnerable. Walkers will participate in a virtual walk at the end of February to help raise funds for agencies who provide food, shelter, comfort and mentoring. Please join the Butterfly of Hope team (http://bit.ly/homelessButterfly), form a team in your own community, or consider contributing in other ways (https://cnoy.org/donate). Thank you. |
