Good News!

Butterflies are again a top fundraising team!

Thanks to all who raised the funds that kept Butterfly of Hope (BOH) third in community fundraising for 2020. We are so proud of you for helping to provide the funds necessary to enable our researchers and medical professionals at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre (PMCC) to carry on the amazing work that they do and to keep Papa B’s legacy alive!

More Good News: we will be able to walk in 2021

Highlights about the 2021 event as we understand them right now are below.  We will share more information as it becomes available.
  • The event will be run internally by the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation (PMCF)
  • CauseForce® is no longer involved
  • The Weekend to Conquer Cancer is merging with the PMCF event, The Journey to Conquer Cancer
  • It will be called, The Weekend to Conquer Cancer
  • Virtual event with flexibility of time, place and distance
  • All ages may participate
  • No registration fee
  • ALTHOUGH THERE IS NO FUNDRAISING MINIMUM, BUTTERFLY OF HOPE, WALKERS WILL DO OUR BEST TO RAISE AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE TO CONTINUE TO SUPPORT ESSENTIAL RESEARCH AND SERVICES AT THE PMCC

Everyone who registers (https://bit.ly/reg2021boh) by Mon., Nov. 30 will receive a complimentary cooking class at Rose Reisman’s Virtual Cooking School.

We are sorry to say goodbye to Shasa and her colleagues

We will no longer have the support of Shasa and the rest of the staff at the Weekend office.  Shasa has been the regular contact for us and we don’t know what we will do without her.  Barb M. has sent a Thank You card and note from BOH.

At the moment we don’t have an official contact person but will be kept up to date on new information.  Please be patient while the PMCF gets more details together.
