In 2020, we are especially proud of the way Butterflies managed to find a way to contribute.
It has already been a month since our socially-distanced and masked group walked from Toronto to Mississauga on Sept. 12. The 25 kilometres along Lake Ontario were beautiful. If you walked in your hometown for The Weekend to Conquer Cancer™, we hope you had a grand day as well. A number of us were able to connect by Zoom, captured in this short video (below) of the day.
Our team of 21 walkers and crew managed to raise a total of $23,158.00 in a year when many of us thought it wouldn’t be possible. We came third in fundraising for community teams. We rock! We have some very dedicated donors and we are so grateful to them. We are also very grateful to you for persevering. We Butterflies can make anything happen. Our team founder, Chad, would be very proud of us.
A special thanks goes to Jane A. for sweeping for us in Toronto. She was very busy and we don’t know what we would have done without her.
Also, a special shout out goes to Cathy’s daughter, Daniela, for assisting to host the Zoom meet-up. Thanks to Cathy for creating our souvenir video. Thanks also to those of you who took part. Your donors might like to meet our team so please feel free to pass the video along to them with your own thanks for their support.
