2020 — The Next Step in the Walk to Well-being and Health

HAPPY NEW YEAR BUTTERFLIES!

We hope that 2020 is off to a great start for you and your families.

WELCOME TO NEW MEMBERS

Caroline, Amanda, Julie, Miriam, and Bernie join us in 2020!

We trust that you will enjoy being part of our great team and we look forward to meeting you!

MEETING WITH OUR FRIENDS ACROSS THE COUNTRY

In our last newsletter we asked that you think about walking with friends near you, talking to them about our team and the amazing things that you are doing. Invite them to join us.

Barb is busy this winter travelling to various cities in Canada to see her granddaughters in figure skating competitions. She is using this as a great opportunity to also connect with Butterflies all over the country. In December, Barb was in Edmonton for a few days and enjoyed quick visit with long-time Butterflies, Hillary and Penny.

Barb will be in Calgary in February, then in Montreal in March. She is hoping to see some Butterfly friends then as well.  Again, please contact her if you’ll be available.

Cathy is also meeting Butterflies and will be in Vancouver and Kelowna in May. She would love to walk and visit with Butterflies in British Columbia. Please let her know. Time is on our side to plan a get-together.

UPDATE ON THE FAMILY WALK

Plans for the family walk are moving along but not quite finalized.  We can report that it will be a three-kilometer walk that joins us at the end of the 15-km and 25-km walks on Saturday.  That will enable families to celebrate our success by crossing the finish line together as part of Butterfly of Hope.

ADDITIONAL WALK FOR OUR WELL-BEING

Cathy and others are walking as Butterfly of Hope for the Coldest Night of the Year on Sat., Feb. 22, 4-8 p.m. It is a fundraiser held across Canada for those who are homeless and hurting in our communities.  Join her in Mississauga to support a youth drop-in, The Dam, by clicking here, or contribute to the walk in your area.
